About Us

I am a qualified Sport Therapist and Fitness Trainer with seven years of experience gained in fitness training, athletic performance training, sports therapy and specialist rehabilitation programmes. I have worked with members of private sector health and fitness clubs and country club spas/resorts as well as with my own personal client base.   With a high level of personal fitness, I have designed and implemented fitness programmes to deliver results against specific client needs, from individuals seeking rehabilitation following accident or injury to those striving for competitive glory.  I have also set up and managed several sport retail stores, and manufactured my own brand of clothing. In May 2010 I qualified as a Nordic Walking instructor, and in October 2010 I set up NordicWalkingPoles.com an online website to provide equipment, clothing, footwear, advice and training.

Nordic Walking is not just another walking exercise, but a great social activity, to get fit and toned. I aim to focus on the health and wellbeing side of the sport.  I aim to provide an online meeting place for Nordic Walkers where they can discover the best walking routes, social groups, holiday destinations, and useful health and fitness advice.

I will be providing a list of ‘useful contacts’ page, to help you find local instructors, interesting activities and equipment. If you have any, positive or negative feedback on equipment or experiences, then please let me know. I import and retail Nordic Walking Poles directly from Scandinavian manufactures. I also stock a good quality hydration pack range from ‘Caribee’. To compliment the existing range I will be introducing a popular outdoor clothing and footwear range, in November 2011.

I run my operation single-handed so I am not always on able to answer telephone enquiries straight away. Most items ordered before 3.00pm are shipped out the same day. I hope to be taking on staff real soon, and will endeavor to provide the best posssible customer service. Early in 2012,  I intend to make donations from profits, to organisations such as  ‘Mountain Rescue’, “Association of Air Ambulances’, and the ‘RNLI’.
